The system provides the acquisition, processing
and storage of 40 channels at 50,000 samples/second/channel, 64
channels at 100 samples/second/channel, control of speed, torque
and radial cyclic loading and all facility system control.
The stand itself consists of the test spindle (speed control) the
load spindle (i.e. dynamometer) and an exciter that excites the
system radially to simulate cutting passes.
 
The fully automated test cycle and configuration tools were generated
specifically for this application using standard EngineTest©
components from Yanos Aerospace. They allow for complete control
of all systems in accordance with pre-defined test cycles and allow
for control, data collection, alarming and data logging automatic
sequencing.
