Yanos
Aerospace designed, supplied and installed a full ADAPS system for
testing A250 engines in an existing test cell. It was based on the
standard EngineTest© products and integrated into the existing
network and existing databases from other Yanos Aerospace installations.
 The
system was based on the EngineTest© standard products and consisted
of a new Data Acquisition System, PLC, computers and software integrated
into an existing control room. The system replaced an obsolete system
that had been in place for several years but had become unsupportable.
The system saw the first use of EngineTest© version 3 which
added the functionality of templates and attachments. These allowed
the user to store external vibration and other data in the database
along with the test data. In addition, it allowed an external Microsoft
Excel workbook to be used to access the data directly and produce
custom plots of data for specific customer requirements.
